The assessment roll becomes a public document after the assessor completes the roll and delivers it to the municipal clerk. At least 15 days prior to the roll being available, the clerk will post and publish a notice announcing its availability. The notice will also announce the day the assessor will be at the village hall for Open Book. Open Book is the 2-hour informal period where a property owner can discuss their assessment with the assessor. The assessor may make changes to the assessment as necessary.
