The Village currently has 2 openings on the Zoning Board of Appeals.  One as a regular member and one as an alternate member in the event a regular member cannot attend a meeting.  This committee meets only when needed and is a paid position at $75/meeting. Members will also be required to attending training/ongoing education as state regulations and local ordinances change from time to time.

Zoning refers to the use of the public regulatory power, or police power, to specify how land may be used and developed. The intent of zoning is to balance individual property rights with the rights of the general public to a healthy, safe and orderly living environment.  Preferred applicants should have some knowledge/experience in any of the following areas:

  • Architecture & Construction
  • Engineering & Land Use
  • Law
  • Real Estate & Development
